A good price and works better than others tried. I had to think a little but was able to update over the internet.

I had the service alarm that turn on on my car. I went to the garage, the guy plug is scanner, told me that it' a common and no problem error. He reseted the code, and ask me $70 for this 2 minutes work. After less than 10 days the service led turn on again. I looked on Amazon and found the autel MaxiScan for $70. Since I have used it 5 or 6 times on my car and on my friend', so I have saved at least $350.

Autel MaxiScan MS509 Works Great.
This product has worked great. I have had it for two weeks now and all of the functions on this OBDII tool still work. I was able to use to on an older BMW (02) that had a service engine soon light on. With the MS509 I was able to read the code and veiw "live data" readings which are fairly accurate considering the cars computer and this scanner may work at a different speed/refresh rate. Screens easy to read and simple with an ? button.
All in all, worth the $70 for the DIY Mech IMO.

Autel MS509 Everyone should have one.
This Item has saved me a lot of money just in one use. I was told the fix for my van was $900 but the scanner showed me if was a $10 part and I fixed it myself. Thank you!
Autel MS509 VERY GOOD.
So far it's done everything you would want, I'm not a mechanic, this product is very easy to use. have hooked it up to both of my vehicles, and cleared codes. A very good tool to have. have fixed a couple problems without taking cars to a shop. Has already paid for itself. good investment, it will give you a little peace if check engine lights bother you

Had a check engine light come on with my 08 Aveo. Usually its the gas cap not sealing proberly, but the light would go out and them come back. The Autel MS509 told me what the error was in just a few seconds. Throttle positioning sensor voltage was not correct. I cleared the code and everything is fine. For the price I paid for this tool, it paid for itself the first time I used it. I would recomend this for anyone who needs a good code readeer without ABS functions. This was the best value for the money I found.

I was looking for a good OBD II code scanner that will do diagnostics and histograms. After researching this scanner looked like it would fill my needs. Ordering was easy and the scanner arrived within a week. The contents are comprised of the scanner, a CD, manual, and cables. The manual is straight-forward and easy to understand. Th scanner retrieves diagnostic codes quickly and erases them was well.
This is a good tool for any do-it-yourself-er to have in their tool kit.

I bought this code reader as i have very little spare cash. I have a 2002 Peugeot 307 petrol. The 'check engine' light has been on for years and it quickly gave me the fault code and reason. 'Vehicle speed sensor', what ever that is... It deleted the fault and turned off the check engine light. In the live view its telling me im only getting TP 85% (throttle position) This could explain why its sooooo slooooow on hills and i'm now getting that looked at.
So for the money its all good. It tells me alot of things 'unable to find link' but whatever they are there not important. So far so good. :)

This specific scantool offers great features for the price. My specific tool was flashed very recently before it was shipped so no need to update right off. Reads and clears codes, freeze frame (computer info at code fault) and live data as well. If replacing battery make sure to use good quality alkaline battery only. No ABS coverage but for the price, great tool.
